July-August 2011 Mongolia Bike Challenge
For the second year in a row Mongolia Expeditions acted as the “Official Logistics Team” of the international mountain biking race called "Mongolia Bike Challenge" organized by Italian "Progetto Avventura Eventi". The second edition of this extreme sporting contest took place from 30th July through 13th August 2011. This time a 1200km race track ran across Umnugobi, Uvurkhangai, Bayankhongor and Arkhangai provinces in 9 stages of 133km each. The challenge started in Dalanzadgad town of Umnugobi province and finished at the gates of Erdene Zuu monastery in Kharkhorin, the once renowned capital of Chinggis Khan.
