Spanning 12 days with 6 full days on horseback, this expedition takes you deep into Mongolia’s remote Altai Mountains in the far west. You’ll traverse green valleys, ride alongside glacial rivers, visit the soaring peaks of the Altai Tavan Bogd, and explore alpine lakes and landscapes steeped in human history. Along the way, proud Tuvan hunters will accompany us, and we’ll also meet Muslim Kazakh falconers who demonstrate their mastery in hunting with golden eagles. The tour is rated moderate in difficulty and includes ample rest days. We camp in tents throughout, with safe, comfortable tack and full expedition support.
